Finding My Creative Mojo

It’s been one month since I started working from home full-time but it’s only been a three and a half weeks since the UK went into Lockdown. I feel like an eternity has passed as I sit in my apartment, watching the days stretch and longing to sit in the park with my friends but we must remember, this is a life or death situation. We are in the land of the unknown and we have to respect that.

As the world comes to a stand still, we find ourselves with more time on our hands. Well, some of us. My working routine hasn’t changed much, just the environment I find myself working in. So while I juggle my work/life balance and the joys of working from home, I’ve somehow cleared some headspace for diving back into creating.

I spend a lot of my time fogged up. It takes me a while to unravel my thoughts and make sense of what I actually want to do but I know that at some stage, the pieces will fall into place and I’m just like “Ohh yeah, why wasn’t I doing it this way the whole time. I know what’s going on”.

Past experiences of burnout has a way of throwing that eureka moment off but you just have to keep going. Chip away at it. Patience is key. Time is your friend. And although, we’re experiencing a global phenomenon that hasn’t taken such an effect in over 100 years, I’m going to take advantage of the solace and figure out my creative vision. The fast-paced hustle mentality has finally been silenced, for a while anyway.

I also can’t believe I’m writing again but hey, the photos have to go somewhere.

Stay Safe. Wash Your Hands.
