A New Sustainably Driven Brand: NU-IN Fashion
NU-IN Fashion is a new brand focusing on cute everyday pieces with a focus on sustainability.
You’ve probably noticed new brands rolling onto your feeds during Lockdown, sometimes it can be hard to figure out what’s legit and what brands you actually connect with. So if you’re like me, you can be weary of what you purchase from them.
Even though it’s hard to be completely sustainable, taking steps in the right direction and making more conscience choices will help battle the pollution caused by the Fashion Industry as a whole so when NU-IN Fashion popped up on my feed, I was curious.
Describing themselves as Sustainably Driven, I wanted to see what made them different to the another 9 brands being advertised to me on Instagram Stories (*I see you Mark Zuckerberg).
The first thing I noticed was the simplicity of the designs. From looking at my Instagram feed, you’ll know I like pieces that I can subtly style again and again and NU-IN Fashion’s collections can be styled from day to night, elegant and dressy all the way to sports luxe and chill! So we have a great choice to start with but it’s the sustainability factor I was really interested in because well, the designs speak for themselves. You don’t need me to big up some cute cycle shorts and a cropped cord hoody.
Pulling some info from NU-IN’s website, they state that they use recycled materials in their products, giving them another chance to fulfil their purpose rather than ending up in landfill. Taking steps across the board in regards to focusing on Economical, Environmental and Social Sustainability with factories in Portugal, Turkey, Sweden and the UK.
I must say, I was super impressed with the packaging no plastic in sight with even the details of all materials used including the hang tag and icon tag!
I ended up purchasing this cute Ribbed Knitted Bralet in yellow. It also comes in a beige and navy but amongst the soft neutral tones, this beauty stood out to me especially since my own wardrobe was also suffering some a serious case of beige on beige and lacked vibrancy. Styled with a pair of off-white jeans, air force one’s and some chunky gold jewellery.
With large companies such as H&M are being called out for it’s Conscious Collection and not meeting the standards its set for itself or what it’s telling us it’s achieving, it can be hard for us to trust brands to live up to their word and essentially, that their product lives up to their word.
