THE BEAUTY OF LOCAL BRAND 'LINES AND CURRENT'
Peering inside the minimal and mindful brand that is Lines & Current.
A letter in the post. Classic and thoughtful. When Rebekah invited me to her first Lines & Current event, I was delighted to have been thought of in an important milestone for her brand. Lines & Current is all about understated beautiful accessories. The less is more mentality is rife and I must say I’m a fan. 9/10 I opt for minimal jewellery. I want to have the ability to wear all my favourite pieces with any outfit I put together. For me, there’s nothing worse than loving a piece of jewellery but it just doesn’t go with your style that day which is why I have my eyes set on Rebekah’s latest releases.
Lines & Current comes from a place of simplicity and mindfulness. The de-cluttering of your headspace, leaving room for “soul space and energy”. All of which is what attracted me to the brand.
Saturday morning was an intimate affair. A few of Lines and Current’s loyal supporters, friends and family. We had the opportunity to nosey through the collection and try on any of the pieces that caught our eye. We then got a fresh introduction as Rebekah shared the brand’s story with us while also talking us through each of the designs.
Thank you Rebekah for inviting me along. What you have created is beautiful and I can’t wait to see the journey Lines and Current will take us on.

A DAY IN DUBLIN FOR THE LAUNCH OF MAISON MARGIELA'S NEW FRAGRANCE 'MUTINY'
Venturing to Dublin for the day is one of my favourite activities and it was made sweeter when I received an invite to the launch of Maison Margiela’s new fragrance ‘MUTINY’. (Available at Brown Thomas)

FRUITY OR FLORAL?
When it comes to perfume, I can be quite picky. Majority of fragrances give me a headache, whether it be amount of it used by one person or maybe it’s too floral for my taste but MUTINY ticked all the boxes for me. I was intrigued to smell it before I went down as having done my research, I knew it used the traditional feminine notes aka Tuberose and then stripped back also brought out jasmine & orange scents. Now I could continue to quote the Vogue Article I used when doing my research but in all honesty, I read it, not knowing even what Tuberose was but I got an idea for what I was in for.
On testing the fragrance, it was everything I hoped it to be. Soft, sweet and feminine. Not overpowering in any way like most perfumes but inviting and comforting. Pleased as punch that it matched my expectations, I was in a wonderful mood the rest of the day especially when we all also got invited to go for lunch in Dublin’s Dax Restaurant.
It was so lovely to attend an event where you feel like you’re apart of something special.
