HOW TO STYLE A TRANSEASONAL DRESS - NXC X GANT
Time to pack away the summer wardrobe and make room for our winter coats and boots I hear you say? Stop! Don’t pack anything away because the word on the street is ‘Transeasonal' and we are going to make it happen.
Time to pack away the summer wardrobe and make room for our winter coats and boots as we say goodbye to what has been one of the most glorious summers I can remember. So many days spent outside in the sun, wearing shorts and even having the option to leave behind a jacket. Days like that are few and far between here in the UK & Ireland.
That's why it's super important for me to be able to wear my wardrobe all year round. All it takes is a few different styling tips to take your summer wardrobe into winter and nail those essential AW & SS Trends along the way.
For me, it's all about layering. Taking clothes off and putting clothes on to keep myself cool, warm & on trend.
Check out this look I created in collaboration with GANT UK. I've taken their Seersucker Tech Prep Shirtdress and made it ready for the AW18 season. Usually paired with some open toe sandals for the summer, I've decided to pull out my suede over the knee Dune London Boots to keep these legs warm and covered while also layering the dress over a NastyGal Burgundy Turtleneck. With the finishing touches including an All Saints Leni Coat, Gold Bobble Earrings from Primark (&OtherStories Version) and a Leather Baker Boy hat from Stradivarius, I've taken this light summer dress from Blue Skies & Sunshine to Cosy Chilled nights.

THE UNCONVENTIONAL FESTIVAL STYLE GUIDE
Expressing yourself through fashion and style while allowing yourself to relax and take in the energetic atmosphere. Anything goes fashion. That’s what festivals are all about.
This isn't your average Festival Style Guide because firstly, it isn't a guide at all. Since I started attending festivals my perception on the do's and don'ts has shifted. It was always your typical denim hot pants with some sort of sparkly top with a bandana wrapped around a limb of your choice. The Standard Festival Look 101. Suddenly you realise, you're just more of the same and who wants that?
Festivals are the best because you can't control anything. It is the ultimate "anything goes" chaos and you have to embrace it. It is a be yourself environment, whether that is through fashion or your weird dance moves. The weirder the better actually. As long as you are embracing who you are and showing your individuality, you're in for the best experience.
Which brings me onto the style. For this shoot, I've tried to stay away from the High Street. It's all too easy to click onto High Street websites and venture to their "Festival-Ready" section which I can assure you, millions of other people are doing. Everything you see is available from local businesses here in NI. (Ok - except for one or two pieces but we'll look past that). Vintage & Bespoke Clothing Accessories. Something to inspire your own creativity and style. Love, N. xo
